It looks like my submission went through successfully, why do I not see it on the site?
Once you have submitted and approved, your entry takes about 24-36 hours to be posted on the site. All images are approved Monday through Friday. You will receive a notification email once your submission is posted.
Can I use the same image in multiple categories, or do they need to be different?
You can either use the same image or different images in multiple categories. The images are all judged seperately per catergory based on how they are applied to the particular application - photo book, calendar or greeting card.
How do I access photo templates?
When you registered, you should have received an email with links to the MyShot08™ Entry section. This section includes a link to the EZ Suite software download. If you haven’t registered, click the Login/MyAccount navigation at the top of this page and fill in the required information.
How many times can I enter?
You can submit one entry per category (photo book, calendar and greeting card) for a total of three entries. We’ll send you one free digital color print sample for each of your entries.
What photo subjects can I enter?
People, places, abstracts. The subject is entirely up to you. The only restrictions for this contest are nudes. All entries will be screened.
What digital format should I provide my entries in?
Jpg, Tiff or Eps are all accepted by our printing sponsor. For more about specifications and suggestions for entering your photo files, click here.
Can I update an entry once it’s submitted?
We cannot offer that option so be sure you are completely satisfied with your entry before you submit it to MyShot08™.
Do I have to be a photography student to enter?
Any college student with a passion for photography may enter. You must be 18 years or older and currently enrolled as a student in an accredited college.
Is this a U.S. contest only?
Yes, the contest is open only to college students currently enrolled in a college in the United States. As well, participants must reside in and physcially located in the 50 United States or The District of Columbia (excluding Puerto Rico and all other territories) at the time of entry.
How will I receive my free print sample(s)?
H&H Color Lab will print entries as they receive them. Depending on where you live and where you are in the printing cue, you can expect your printed sample(s) to arrive by mail, in one to two weeks.
